Deputy James Bannon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the position regarding entitlements purchased through an auctioneer in April 2013 in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Longford; if he will examine and clarify same in respect of this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI can confirm that an application was received in my Department on 15 May 2013 to transfer entitlements from another farmer to the person named. Unfortunately the transfer could not be processed in my Department and I regret that under the Data Protection Act I am not at liberty to disclose the reason for the non-processing of the application. The person named may wish to make contact with the transferor with a view to clarifying the situation.
