Deputy Derek Nolan asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform when an area of land (details supplied) in County Galway designated to be a car park and which is within Office of Public Works ownership will be fit for purpose and used as a car park; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Galway County Council previously expressed an interest in the site in question for use as a car park. The Council has since decided not to pursue this option. The Commissioners are currently considering alternative uses for the property.
