90. Deputy Terence Flanagan asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will consider increasing the living alone allowance in the next budget; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17113/14]
View answerThe appropriate rates of welfare payments in 2015, including the weekly rate of the living alone allowance, will be considered later this year in the context of the Government’s discussions on the next Budget. In this regard, each €1 per week increase in the living alone allowance costs €9.4 million in a full year.
