View answerI am informed by the Garda authorities that the matter referred to by the Deputy is currently the subject of a Garda investigation and a file has been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for direction. The information supplied to me by the Garda authorities indicates that the original complaint which was made in this case was not ignored by An Garda Síochána. As this matter is currently under investigation, the Deputy will appreciate that it would not be appropriate for me to comment further at this time.
