644. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of persons in County Kerry awaiting 2013 payments under the area aid scheme. [18542/14]

Payments under the 2013 Disadvantaged Areas Scheme commenced, on schedule, on 25 September 2013, and to date, payments worth some €199.8 million have issued to 94,484 applicants nationally.

Details in respect of County Kerry are as outlined below:

While the majority of the unpaid applicants did not meet the minimum stocking density requirements of the Disadvantaged Areas Scheme, a minority remain unpaid pending resolution of individual issues e.g. inheritance, etc.
