Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Taoiseach if he will provide in tabular form the annual year on year figure for the number of workers commuting from the South to work in the north of Ireland and the number of workers commuting from the North to work in the south of Ireland since 2004-5. However, the following table contains the information available from the Census of Population for the years 2006 and 2011 regarding the number of workers commuting from the Republic of Ireland to work in Northern Ireland.Republic of Ireland residents with place of work in Northern Ireland, Census 2006 and 2011
