147. Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the reason 11 households in the townland of Coronea, Skibbereen, County Cork are not connected to the main sewerage scheme in view of the fact that it is within 400 metres of their homes, and that the treatment plant is in Coronea and they believe sufficient funding is available for this purpose; his views on the likely contamination of private wells in the area by septic tanks; the reason these residents have been excluded; if he will do all in his power to have them connected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no responsibility for, or role in relation to, the day to day management, maintenance or operation of water supplies or the delivery of water services capital infrastructure. Since 1 January 2014 , Irish Water has statutory responsibility for all aspects of water services planning, delivery and operation at national, regional and local levels.
