655. Deputy Martin Ferris asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has been told by gardaí in Tralee that no record of an investigation exists of an incident that occurred on 25 February 2010 after which the person made a formal complaint and received an acknowledgement of same on 2 March 2010. I am informed by the Garda authorities that a statement was taken from the person referred to, a full investigation was carried out by An Garda Síochána into the incident, and that this is reflected in Garda records. If there are outstanding issues of concern, I will raise the matter with the Garda authorities.
