Deputy Joe McHugh asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide a breakdown on a county basis of the number of inspections by Road Safety Authority officials on articulated trucks and all other commercial vehicles; the number of repeat inspections in the past 12 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The operation of inspections on articulated trucks and all other commercial vehicles is a matter for the Road Safety Authority (RSA).

I have referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct reply and I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a reply has not been received within ten days.
