Questions (189)

Gerry Adams

Question:

189. Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a case where the Health Service Executive promised a person (details supplied) in County Louth that a home care package of 76 hours per week would be in place and provided to them by agency nursing staff when discharged from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on 14 May 2014; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that since returning home this person has not received the home care package that was agreed and has only received, at best, 20 hours care per week; his views that this is acceptable; if he will rectify the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy's question relates to a service matter, I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive for direct reply to the Deputy.
