361. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection further to Parliamentary Question No. 355 of 27 May 2014, if an exceptional needs payment can be facilitated at local level in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The person concerned is currently in receipt of all payments from this Department to which she is entitled. She has not made an application for an emergency needs payment. However a Designated Officer will visit the person concerned in order to establish if an urgent need exists which would warrant an application.
