Deputy Noel Harrington asked the Minister for Health the reason the availability of souvenaid has been removed from a medical card holder (details supplied), who has Alzheimer's disease; if there are any proposals to have it made available again; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Health Service Executive is responsible for the administration of the primary care schemes, therefore, the HSE has been asked to examine the specific issue raised by the Deputy and to reply to him as soon as possible.
