167. Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Health his views on the suspension of the haemochromatosis genetic testing service at the biochemistry laboratory at Cork University Hospital for the summer months until mid-September; the cost of outsourcing this work to an external laboratory for this period; the overall need for the service in the future in view of the current summer arrangements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
