Deputy Ruth Coppinger asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will direct the City of Dublin Education and Training Board to reverse its decision to end the funding for the adult literacy organiser post at the TARGET project in Donaghmede, Dublin 13 when the current post holder retires; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This is an operational matter for the City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB). However, it should be noted that the post referred to by the Deputy is subject to the moratorium on recruitment and promotion applicable to the civil and public service and my understanding is that the ETB is not in a position to fill the post.
