Questions (539)

Catherine Murphy

Question:

539. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Health in the case of patients who must travel to a hospital for regular blood tests or other services, such as Warfarin patients, if there are any plans to introduce a shuttle bus service for such patients as opposed to relying on a taxi service; alternatively, if there is a possibility that blood tests could be taken at local primary care centres instead; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In relation to the detailed queries raised by the Deputy, as these are service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to her directly.
