View answerThe post of Director of the National Library was advertised in January of this year in the Public Appointments Service. Candidates were interviewed in April and no candidate was recommended to the Board of the National Library for appointment to the post. The post is currently being filled on an Acting basis by the senior Keeper in the National Library. It is understood that consideration is being given by the Board of the National Library to re-advertising the post later in the year.
