Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide in tabular form the amount of money spent on private consultants for each of the past four years; and the proposed expenditure for 2014 providing detailed aims and objectives of the contact. View answerThe information requested by the Deputy is available on my Department's website at the following link: http://www.dttas.ie/corporate/english/expenditure-external-services. This includes details of spending on consultants and other forms of external spending. The figures available cover up to the end of 2013 and we are currently in the process of updating information for 2014. The allocation in my Department's budget for consultancy services for 2014 is provisionally set at €599,000.
