438. Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 196 of 3 July 2014, in which he stated that the Health Service Executive had been asked to examine the specific queries raised; if he would review the issues and reply accordingly. [30302/14]
View answerThe specific issues raised by the Deputy are operational matters and, therefore, were referred to the HSE for direct reply.
The HSE operates the General Medical Services scheme, which includes medical cards and GP visit cards, under the Health Act 1970, as amended. By way of assistance, I can remind the Deputy that it has established a dedicated contact service for members of the Oireachtas specifically for queries relating to medical cards and GP visit cards, which the Deputy may wish to use for an earlier response.
