Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Education and Skills the proposed location for the new Educate Together school in Castlebar, County Mayo; if the proposed venue is currently been used by any group, either statutory or voluntary; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe Catholic Archdiocese has been able to offer an actual school building for use by an alternative Patron in Castlebar under the patronage divesting process. The building in question is located in the Burren area.
I understand that an arrangement may have been in place with a local group for some use of the building in question. My Department will be fully exploring this matter on a local basis shortly.
