Deputy Colm Keaveney asked the Minister for Health the number of specialist perinatal mother and child psychiatric units; if he will identify each one; in the absence of such units, the way the serious issue of postnatal depression and other perinatal mental illnesses are treated; if he is satisfied that such treatment is appropriate and sufficient; if not, his plans to develop specialist peri-natal mental illness units; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
