Deputy Niall Collins asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will review the jobseeker's allowance case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 in view of the fact that this person is suffering hardship; her views on the matter; and if she will make a statement on the matter. According to the records of this Department, the person concerned is currently in receipt of the correct rate of jobseekers allowance of €100 per week for a person of her age and circumstances. It is open to the person concerned to contact her local community welfare service to explore the options available to her if she is experiencing hardship at this time.
