Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if the Office of Public Works has received an application from Mayo County Council for flood defence works for an area (details supplied) in County Mayo; when the application will be processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application for funding under the OPW Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme for a project at Bachelor’s Walk, Ballina, Co. Mayo was received within the last two weeks and is currently being assessed.
