Deputy Michael McCarthy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of an application under the green low-carbon agri-environment scheme, including when the person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAn application to the second tranche of GLAS for the person named was received by my Department on 4 December 2015. The application is one of over 14,000 applications submitted as part of this second tranche of GLAS.
All GLAS applications received, including the application of the person named, are now being assessed by my Department in line with the requirements set out in the scheme Terms and Conditions. All applicants will be notified in writing of the outcome of their applications and successful applicants will have a contract commencement date of 1 January 2016. I expect payment in respect of the 2016 scheme year to issue in the last quarter of 2016.
