33. Deputy Colm Keaveney asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 89 of 26 November 2015, if he reconsidered the case and if he will expedite the granting of funding for these necessary flood relief measures; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As indicated in my reply to Parliamentary Question Number 89 of 26 November 2015, further information is required from Galway County Council (GCC) in relation to the determination of benefits attributable to the proposed works having regard to the complex nature of the cause of flooding at this location.

No further submission has been received to date from GCC but it remains open to the Council to provide clarification in support of a revised application for funding.
