Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the position regarding an application made for force majeure by a person (details supplied) under the young farmers scheme; the reason no update has been communicated directly to the person on this; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person named submitted an online Force Majeure application to my Department. My Department has no record of having received documentation in support of this application or a late 2015 National Reserve application. An Official from my Department will contact the person named directly to establish the circumstances of his appeal with a view to having the matter resolved.
