The HSE is currently investigating concerns raised by clinicians in relation to Orthodontic Services provided in the Dublin area during the period 1999 to 2001. A review team has been established and the concerns raised are being dealt with in accordance with HSE protocols. Part of the process involves a review by external consultants of the available clinical records and information for that period. As the matter is not yet concluded, the HSE have informed that the release of partial information relating to the concern would not be helpful to the overall objective. It is the HSE’s intention to publish a full report on the matter as soon as the investigation is concluded, and this will include material provided to the process by the external consultants. A report is expected by summer 2016.
