Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of persons in receipt of a disability allowance that are blind or have serious sight loss, that are deaf or blind and that have blindness or sight loss as a secondary disability; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Social Protection

At the end of March 2017 there were 128,090 persons in receipt of disability allowance (DA). The Department does not maintain a record of all persons in receipt of DA by type of disability or medical conditions.
