Deputy James Browne asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if Irish Rail will increase the number of carriages from three to four on the 1.35 p.m. train service from Dublin Connolly to Wexford in view of the fact that regular train services on this route take four carriages; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised is an operational matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA), in conjunction with Iarnród Éireann, and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
