Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of vacant habitable dwelling units and vacant derelict residential dwelling units in the ownership or part ownership or under the control of both his Department and agencies under his remit; the county in which each unit is located; the length of time each unit has been vacant, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not own or control any vacant habitable dwelling units or vacant derelict residential dwelling units. Any properties or land occupied by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the State are rented and discharged by the Office of Public Works.
