Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Finance the newspapers his Department officials have engaged with in relation to promoting or explaining Government business in his Department; when these meetings took place; if they are held on a regular basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Press Office organises briefings for journalists upon request as part of its normal course of work to explain government business pertaining to the Department of Finance. In such cases, all media outlets are invited to send a representative.
