183. Deputy Kevin O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of an application for funding in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Cork. [17468/18]

The school to which the Deputy refers submitted an application for funding under my Department’s Emergency Works Scheme to construct a school carpark.  The application and subsequent appeal were refused as the works sought are outside the scope of the scheme.  The provision of a carpark is more appropriate to a future Summer Works Scheme.
