View answerThe Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 requires a person carrying out lobbying activities to register and submit returns of lobbying activity. The returns register is publicly available to view and records relevant communication (whether written or oral) between a registered person and a designated public official. The specificiation of the Act and its requirements are not areas for which I have a statutory function.
More generally within my Department, it is standard procedure to note important communications, whether written or oral, regarding official business.
