Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if there was an increase in line with the social welfare increases in budget 2018 for persons in receipt of social welfare on the job initiative scheme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection

As part of Budget 2018 my Department increased the grant aid to Job Initiative participants by €10 per week, effective from 26 March 2018. This brings the participants personal payment rate to €441.00 per week.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
