I understand that the EB outreach nurse post is currently being funded by the HSE for 3 years, from January 2017 to the end of 2019 and that this post has hugely benefitted families and patients’ ability and resilience to live with Epidermolysis bullosa.
Funding beyond 2019 to support this clinical nurse specialist outreach post will be considered within the HSE in the first instance next year in the context of service prioritisation for 2020 and with regard to competing priorities for resources available.
