View answerServices for adult arthritis and rheumatology are provided throughout the health service in primary care, community and acute hospital settings depending on clinical need. The implementation of SláinteCare will focus on the delivery of these and other chronic conditions through models of care which are based on better prevention, early intervention, care in the community and rehabilitation with reduced reliance on in-hospital care. The HSE intends to publish a rheumatology model of care shortly, in line with these principles.
