240. Deputy Seán Haughey asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform his plans to upgrade and develop a national monument at a location (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43810/18]
View answerThe Casino at Marino is a designated National Monument. The Office of Public Works is currently undertaking remedial works at the monument in order to address electrical deficiencies and other conservation issues with the fabric of the building. OPW is also engaging with Failte Ireland and the Department of Culture Heritage and the Gaeltacht to explore ways to better present this unique and important Monument nationally and internationally.
