611. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection when an issue regarding illness benefit in the case of a person (details supplied) will be rectified; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [43187/18]
View answerThe Department recently moved to a new IT system for Illness Benefit. Arising from the changeover, some IB customers have experienced payment difficulties which the Department is working hard to resolve.
Payments have now resumed for the person concerned and all arrears owing to her will issue shortly.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
