314. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if an illness benefit payment will be reinstated in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [44100/18]

The Illness Benefit claim for the person concerned is paid up to his certified date which is 18th October 2018.  If the person remains ill, he should forward a further medical certificate to the Department as soon as possible.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
