Deputy Jack Chambers asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the position regarding the weight restrictions on roads that previously had a 3 tonne weight restriction and but have recently increased to 3.5 tonnes (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the deputy will be aware the establishment of weight restrictions on local roads is a matter for local authorities and in this case Fingal County Council are the authority responsible. Enforcement is a matter for the Garda Síochána.
