206. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a disability allowance for a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [49842/18]

Following a successful appeal, this gentleman has been awarded disability allowance (DA) with effect from 7 March 2018 when he sent in his application. The first payment will be made by his chosen payment method on 5 December 2018.

Arrears of payment due will issue as soon as possible.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
