680. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection her views on a matter (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [50668/18]
View answerThe lady referred to has been awarded invalidity pension (IP) at personal rate of €203.50 with effect from the 31 May 2018. Her first payment of IP issued to her nominated bank account on the 04 October 2018, however, her illness benefit (IB) payment continued to be paid to her at the weekly rate of €88.90. The IB payment has now been stopped with immediate effect.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
