277. Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of public sector staff from her Department seconded to work in the public sector in other EU member states; the schemes available for such secondments; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [50983/18]
View answerThere are no schemes available to my Department to allow for the secondment of Department staff to work in other EU member states' public sector.
In accordance with Circular 33 of 1991, special leave without pay to take up an appointment with an institution of the EU is available and currently there is one staff member from my Department availing of this leave.
