164. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health his policy and the policy in the health service in general regarding facilitating workers who wish to join a trade union of their choice; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [51274/18]

As the Deputy will be aware, under the Constitution, employees have the right to join a trade union of their choice. Health sector employers recognise and support this right in accordance with the law.
