Written answers (Question to Housing)

I understand that the  website was established in 2011 by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER), primarily to house circulars issued by that Department and by the Department of Finance.  Over time, other Departments have requested access to upload certain circulars to the website.

My Department already uses a variety of media to support the dissemination of circulars, including emailing directly to relevant contacts and posting to the Department's website.  In relation to the local government sector and state bodies under the aegis of my Department, an extranet facility known as 'eCirculars' is also used to disseminate relevant circulars.  While I have no plans at present to also publish circulars on, I will keep the matter under review.
