71. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Finance the number of discussion papers in regard to potential topics of value for money examinations prepared and submitted for consideration by the reporting directorate of the Comptroller and Auditor General in each of the years 2010 to 2018; and the number of discussion papers in each case that went on to be included in the list of topics for examination by the Comptroller and Auditor General in the subsequent year. The Comptroller and Auditor General is independent in the exercise of his functions and therefore my Department does not have the details requested.

The Deputy may wish to raise the matters directly with the Comptroller and Auditor General.
