The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the development and implementation of public transport infrastructure in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) including, in consultation with the relevant Operators, the augmentation of bus and rail services throughout north County Kildare. The relevant Operators are obliged at all times to ensure the services provided are managed and operated safely in accordance with relevant legislation.

Noting their responsibility in the development and implementation of public transport in the GDA, I have forwarded the Deputy's query to the NTA for their consideration and direct reply. Please notify my office if you have not received a reply within 10 working days.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Order 42A
