Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the procedures in place regarding complaints made or raised by staff members that are responsible for the inspection of vehicles at NCT test centres when they have concerns in relation to the quality of inspections carried out. View answerThis is a matter for the Road Safety Authority (RSA). Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006 (Conferral of Functions) Order 2006 (S.I. No.477 of 2006) the RSA has responsibility for the operation and delivery of the vehicle testing arrangements.
I have referred the question to the RSA for direct reply and I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response is not received within 10 days.
