Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for Health his plans to provide for a community intervention team to support patients who have been discharged from Wexford General Hospital; the estimated cost to provide such a service similar to those in counties Kilkenny and Waterford; the additional staff that would be required; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 138 and 139 together.

The Deputy has clarified that his question on the criteria for the provision of Community Intervention Team services refers to the community setting and not the hospital setting. I have arranged for the HSE to reply directly to the Deputy on these matters.
