Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 645 of 6 November 2018, the status of the familial risk assessment clinic for breast cancer at St. James’s Hospital; if resources have been granted in respect of same; if new mammography equipment has been installed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised that the Familial Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Service at St James's Hospital has been restored. Resources have been provided to the hospital's breast services, including additional radiology and pathology support, funding for enabling works and for a third mammography machine which has been installed.
