Deputy Catherine Martin asked the Minister for Health if there have been problems in recruiting staff for the new satellite unit of the national children’s hospital at Connolly Hospital; if this is causing a delay in the opening of the unit to patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Works at Connolly are on target for substantial completion of the building in the Spring with the opening scheduled for July 2019. As the recruitment of staff is a service matter, I have asked Children's Health Ireland to respond to you directly, as soon as possible.
